polyurethanes.
US Patent #7,803,395 – September 2010
Aisa Sendijarevic is one of authors of the patent on
“Reticulated elastomeric matrices, their manufacture and
use in implantable devises” that was granted by the USA
Patent Office on September 28, 2010. Under contract
research project funded by Biomerix Corporation, TPI has
developed novel, reticulated polyurethane foams based on
polycarbonate polyols that perform as
a biocompatible substrate (scaffold) for tissue
in-growth.
SBIR Grant Awarded by the
National Institute of Health (NIH) – June, 2010
In June 2010, TPI started research work on “Polyurethane
Bone Cement for Total Hip Implants” which is fully
funded by National Institute of Health (NIH) under SBIR
Grant No. 1R43AR057614-01A1. This study is carried out
in co-operation with Doctors Research Group, Inc., a
manufacturer of KryptoniteTM bone cement.
